Director
Brenna Maconaghie was born in Malaysia to Australian parents. She studied the 'Arts’ throughout her formal school years and developed a passion for film, drama and photography. Brenna is now in her final year of a Media degree at Macquarie University, Sydney and ‘Broken’ is her first film as a Writer-Director. ‘Broken’ is a project that reflects her ever-growing passion for filmmaking and giving voice to those who may not normally be heard
Lauren Robertson

"Lauren is on the verge of graduating with a degree in media and is working towards a career in public relations at the NRL - at the rate they’re going though, I’m sure Parramatta could user her! To support her Kmart obsession she works as an extra on film and television, and is most often cast as a pregnant woman. As 1st AD she assisted production and brought the laughs #whatego"

John is a third year media student at Macquarie University. He is a passionate about screen and bringing the best stories to life. "Producing Broken has been great experience, it's awesome to raise awareness for an issue that unfortunately doesn't get enough coverage".
Production Designer
My name is Tahra De Souza and I am currently studying a bachelor of Marketing and Media and a diploma of Fashion Business. As the production designer on this film, my primary task was to focus on the aesthetic of the film on set. This was my first time working on a film, however the knowledge I have gained thus far in my areas of study definitely helped with my role.
Shimin Lim

Shimin is an aspiring cinematographer undergoing her undergraduate Media degree at Macquarie University. For the short film, Broken, Shimin was constantly behind the lens as the Director of Photography.
